Grays of Cheltenham are the experts for Shoe Repairs, Key Cutting, Bag Repairs, Trophy Engraving, Dry Cleaning and Domestic Laundry Service too. Grays of Cheltenham guarantees a high quality and excellent service, because they really do care!
Grays was originally established in 1982 by former owner Jeff Gray with Colin and Jo Wordley taking over the reigns in 1995. The business primarily offered a traditional Shoe Repair and Key Cutting service. Gradually Colin and Jo have expanded the available services to include:
Colin took the Grays of Cheltenham business on in 1995. Colin cut his teeth working with Sketchley and Johnsons Dry Cleaning outfits. Colin was crowned ‘Shoe Repairer of the Year’ in 2000, up against some 1000+ top shoe repairers across the UK. He also works for Herrings Shoes repairing Loakes, Church’s etc.
In his spare time Colin loves nothing more than getting out and about with the family, cycling, running, swimming and also…. he is a mad netballer and plays mixed social netball with Netball Fun League.
Jo joined Sketchley when she was still at school as a Saturday assistant. After leaving school she was offered a part-time position at the company and gradually, through hard work and dedication worked her way up the Sketchley ladder. She also worked very closely with Dragonfly Bridal Wear, ensuring the best results for the brides’ special day.
You could say that Jo is a little obsessed with netball, sometimes playing 3-4 nights a week. She even managed to persuade husband Colin to take part. They both play in the same mixed netball team on Sundays!
